Connecting the East Lake community and beyond

But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds of the air, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish of the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind. Job 12:7-10

Caretaking of Creation Emphasis

From Crowd Events like Paws for Praise (Oct, 2015) to team meetings to worship you may see our behaviors/practices fine-tuned to pay attention to this emphasis. You will likely see recycling used more, conservation practices considered, worship service bulletins shortened or if possible eliminated and so on. Paws for Praise  was a direct example of this emphasis; most of LCR’s efforts in 2015’s God’s Work, Our Hands Sunday  highlighted stewardship of creation.

During the recent Dreamleaders Initiative weekend, eager support for a  neighborhood recycling center, vegetable garden and pollinator garden  was in evidence.

Watch for how this emphasis shows itself as LCR “greens” up for the future!
