Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (LCR) is one of nearly 10,000 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) participating in the annual “God’s work. Our hands.” Weekend, September 9 & 10. Across the country, thousands of ELCA members are engaging in work that can make a positive change in their communities, build and deepen relationships and share God’s love. On Saturday, September 9, as a way of recognizing the many ways God’s work is carried out in the world, LCR is hosting the “Good Neighbor Community Yard Sale” where sellers can promote their charity (good neighbor) of choice in addition to finding a new home for their stuff and making a profit.
Do you have items you’d like to sell? You may sell almost anything, including household goods, clothing, furniture, plants, baby supplies, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, etc. Adult magazines/books/movies, weapons of any kind and alcohol are not permitted. Since LCR will be selling refreshments, we kindly request that you not sell food items.
Both outdoor spaces and tables inside the Social Hall are available. Rental rates are $10 for an 8’ table or $20 for an outdoor space the size of a parking space. Larger spaces are also available. LCR will provide advertising through local media and direct mail. Flyers and Facebook ads to promote the event will also be available to each seller.
