Joining God in Palm Harbor and the World.

Lenten Worship

Lent is a baptismal journey – a time for Christians to reflect on and be renewed in the covenant God made with us when we were joined to Jesus’ dying and rising in the water of Baptism as we prepare to celebrate that new life at Easter.

Evening Lenten devotional services are held each Wednesday during Lent at 7:30pm, beginning with Ash Wednesday, March 6.

The Lenten services each Wednesday evening focus on the theme, “Speaking to Sin” – how the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America responds to victims and perpetrators alike. A document has been prepared for this series to help with understanding 6 of the Social Messages adopted by the people of the ELCA and can be found here.

For more information and the full text of all Social Messages adopted by the ELCA, go here and type “Social Messages” in the search bar.

A Soup Supper in the church lobby precedes the service at 6:30pm, beginning March 13.
